7 Buganda Riot Suspects Released
11 out of the 25 suspects who were initially arrested over the Buganda riots in september 2009 have been released. Seven of the suspects were released today after five witnesses declined to testify against them.They join four others who were released two weeks ago.

Suspected Kijanangoma Killer Arrested
Police have arrested and detained a man identified as George Katuramu on suspicion of being a mastermind in the murder of Prince Happy Kijanangoma on March 25th 1999 in Fort Portal. The police claim Katuramu went missing after he was identified as a key suspect in the murder alongside Toro Kingdom Prime minister John Katuramu who faced trial at the High Court before being sentenced to death in September 2001.

Rebel MPs Defy Presidential Directive
Legislators from the ruling NRM party say they will not be cowed by the latest decision made by Central Executive Committee, CEC barring any talk on the restoration of Presidential term limits. The legislators argued that the debate on the term limits was bipartisan and would go ahead despite the threat of disciplinary action by CEC.

Museveni Warns Dissenting Party MPs
President Museveni is warning rebel NRM leaders that they face disciplinary action for going against the party position.
